As far as Price go I would expect more sound more mid range and tweeter stability. eventually it does no different, More Bass indeed but loss the high end stability. To me it just another average set of speaker. I had my old Book shelve Bose and it does up 5 db with crispy clean sound. Cause I don't plan to go that direction. I bought these RTI A9 and CSI A10 and it does pretty good at low volume up to -20 db. I use the DENON AVR 4308CI this baby pump up to 145 Watts/chI could not go pass 0db on the receiver cause the mid to hi would be all distorted. Don't know why other would say these are 5 star and they love it.
higher than that the mid to hi frequency start to saturate. I bought these hoping to be able to maxx my Volume and rock my world. Don't know how it would sound with hi power AMP. For now I'm just stuck with a very expensive average speaker.
These speakers are freaking awesome-- IF you have the juice to power them -- and of course, only if you don't have close neighbors. I am using them with a Harman Kardon AVR-354 7x75W 7.1 Channel Home Theater Receiver ($482.88 from Amazon-- or $800+ from Best Buy) and they sound RIDICULOUSLY good-- you can hear EVERYTHING. I have them paired with a Polk Audio DSW PRO 500 10-Inch Powered Subwoofer (Single, Black), a Polk Audio CSI A6 Center Channel Speaker (Single, Black) and 4x FXiA3 surround speakers.
These speakers replaced a set of paradigm's that I was i love with from day one. After nearly 20 years it was finally time to upgrade my system and these polks didnt disappoint at all. They are driven by an Adcom GFA-5300 and sound wonderful at every level. I highly recommend them to anyone seking serious sound.
Decided to take the plunge and get them after hearing them and price compared to other high end speakers. Have had these for @8 months now. I am an A/V technician and these are the first high performance speakers I have owned. Have a Denon 2808 to keep them happy and all is sounding beyond strong and balanced - find myself turning off surround and switching to stereo as sound is off da hook. Bob Bitchen
This is an excellent Speakers, much much better than its predecessor RTI12 along with others non Polk branded Speakers with much higher price range ,Bass is very tight and hit realy low,u can actually feel the punch even in very low volume even when set to -50.it sounded great. Its high,Mid and low all sounded with great details and imaging. Also Speakers by himself looks beautifull and it realy worth the money I paid for.
